According to a recent RTL Nieuws article, chances of employment for newcomers are very different from one Dutch municipality to another.

While some municipalities focus on further education, training, and utilizing past skills and experience, the article explains, others don't take the time to consider such factors, focusing solely on time and finishing the process as quickly as possible.

The article compares the experiences of Syrian natives Ishmael to Ahmed (above) — while one was given the opportunity to continue his medical profession in the Netherlands, the other wasn't given the same opportunities, leaving him with work that vastly differs from his background and experience.

You can read the article here (in Dutch).

NewBees is excited to continue working with local municipalities in order to help newcomers find meaningful work opportunities in their fields of experience.
