NewBees works with Jarige Job to make treats or 'traktaties' for Dutch children

October 7, 2016

Jarige job (www.stichtingjarigejob.nl) is a Dutch foundation which helps children from moderate backgrounds celebrate their birthdays at school, which is a very Dutch tradition. There are 60,000 children in the Netherlands who are not able to celebrate their birthday in this tradition and Jarige Job helps them by providing moderate treats to share with their classmates.

NewBees supports Jarige Job by wrapping treats with the residents of the COA POL location in Zaanstad. We both provide children with treats to celebrate their birthdays and create an environment at the COA location where residents can interact, enjoy the company of other volunteers and spend their time in a useful way.
